Responsible
Balinese CatteriesIf you have decided that a purebred Balinese kitten is the purr-fect match for you, it is of utmost importance that you acquire your kitten from a reputable Balinese breeder. Just as dogs and puppies are exploited by puppy mills, backyard breeders and pet stores in - so are purebred cats and kittens. Purchasing a Balinese kitten from any source other than a responsible breeder can be a one-way ticket to heartbreak, since kittens from these sources can have a shopping list of health and behaviour problems.
1. Knowledge - A responsible Balinese cat breeder will be very well educated about the breed, and health and temperament of her cats and kittens.
2. Care - A responsible Balinese cat breeder is caring. Her cats and kittens are loved and treated as members of the family.
3. Concern - A responsible Balinese cat breeder will be concerned about the well-being of her cats and kittens. She'll want to know a lot about you, and put you through a "screening" process before agreeing to place one of her kittens with you.
4. Accountability - A responsible Balinese cat breeder will follow a carefully selective breeding program. The goal of each breeding should be to produce the healthiest, soundest kittens possible, while adhering to the breed standard set forth by the governing cat breed association. In addition to this, the breeder should offer, and stand behind, a reasonable health guarantee on her kittens.
5. Commitment - A responsible Balinese cat breeder will be committed to the welfare of her kittens. She should be willing to offer you a reasonable amount of post-sale support to answer any questions you may have as you adjust to life as a kitten owner. She should want to keep in touch with you and receive photos and updates on how your kitten is doing. The breeder should also be willing to assist you in re-homing your kitten, should circumstances prevent your fulfilling your commitment to raising the feline, for any reason.

New Hampshire - Rochester - Salmon Falls Cattery - The SALMON FALLS CATTERY began its breeding program of Traditional Siamese Cats in 1999. I have taken great pleasure in raising my kittens in my home, with my dogs and other pets, so they will be well socialized and adaptable to almost any environment. I do not use cages to ensure that each kitten becomes comfortable with the family and its surroundings. I spend a lot of time with the kittens to nurture their adoring personalities.
New Hampshire - Milton - Love of Thai Cattery - the cattery strives for excellence and works to improve and strengthen the Applehead type Siamese. The cattery specializes in the rare lilac and blue pt.breeding while also offering the commonly known seal and chocolate pts.
Pennsylvania - Dayton - Kathys Country Balinese - Our kittens are raised in our home, underfoot. Never caged.
Washington - Snohomish - BaliChaton - We do not breed at random and only with our cats that have been previously tested for FeLV/FIV. They are pretty much all the more traditional Balinese but we breed mainly for seal points and bluepoints and ALL kittens raised here are raised with their extended family with pedigrees from CFA dating back to the late 1800s
